The fire incident took place in the early hours of yesterday rightly opposite a filling station. The cause of the fire outbreak was ascertained by bystanders who flooded the scene trying to put out the inferno. reports have it by our News correspondent that a Tanker owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) fell by its side in the process of coming out an Oando filling station.
The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu has confirmed that only one life was lost in the fire accident. He said ” The 45,000 litre tanker fell on its side in a process to turn out of a filling station. He said men of the LASEMA were spontaneous in putting out the fire just immediately after they were called”
